Depot Supervisor

"I started working at Easigas as a plant operator on permanent position in April 2011. I did a- lot of learning programs that Easigas offered to all permanent employees. I enrolled Business Administration and after taking this course I got the opportunity to apply for Depot Administrator's position of which I was appointed as Senior Depot Administrator. In 2017 the was another vacant position (Depot Supervisor) at one of our depots (Nigel) I also applied and got the position and promoted to a Depot Supervisor at Nigel. Currently I am studying a Generic Management course offered by Easigas hopefully after this learning program there will be more opportunities for me to fly high"

Regional Sales Manager

"I joined Easigas in 2009 through the Shell Graduate programme. The recruitment process took place at many different tertiary institutions across the country and successful candidates were placed in different Shell business units. The programme allowed candidates to sample two or three roles in the company, each offering a broad range of challenging responsibilities and provided excellent mentoring and coaching that monitored progression. The duration of the programme was 3 years and when Easigas was sold by Shell to Rubis Energies in 2010, the graduate programme ended for Easigas and I was immediately assigned to the Alberton Depot platform supervisor role"

Human Resources

"I joined Easigas in 2006 as a Services Administrator, two years later I moved to a role of Personal Assistant to MD and 2 years later was promoted to HR Role. Few years later when the Company introduced the Employment Learnership Programme, the programme was opened to all Permanent Employees who wanted to develop themselves through learning and I did not let the opportunity pass me by, I got a chance to enrol for the Degree in Human Resources Management. The journey was very challenging, my biggest challenge was balancing the demands of work, home and study, however as a determined and goal-driven person, I persevered and achieved my HRM Bachelor's Degree in 2020."

Transport Supervisor

"I finished my matric in 2014 and did not have money to further my studies as I wanted to study law. I had to get a job or a learnership two years went by with no luck of any. In 2016 August I went to look for a job fortunately I was directed to Easigas where I was given an opportunity to be on Unemployment learnership for a year. The learnership was to study Freight handling in logistics of dangerous goods NQF level 3. The learnership I was scheduled to be at workplace for 3 weeks and 1 week at NOSA logistics. At workplace I was rotating from one department to another for to gain cooperate experience and to understand who does the Company works. In 2017 was helping in the Technical department with filling also helped in the Reception however at the end of the year2018 was exposed to the company and its product. Easigas offered me another opportunity to do more studies as I did well on the first learnership in 2016."
